Lap Band seminar and support group schedule

Online Seminar

Information Seminars

For people who want to learn more about the Lap Band, information seminars are the first step in learning about the Lap Band and deciding if the Lap Band surgery for weight loss may be right for you.

We used to seminars at a conference room in a local hotel, however many people who travelled had difficulty making the meetings. So we now offer the film you see above to offer an online video serminar.

This video seminar is also helpful if you have family members such as a spouse who wants to learn more about the LapBand and see the doctors before you come in for your office consultation.

When you call our office and set up a consultation, we will also provide you with access to another online video program. The video is made by Emmi solutions and shows many of the steps before, during, and after surgery.

The Emmi video program also provides you with opportunities to mark areas that you have questions about, so that you or your family member can review this with the doctor when you come in for your consultation.

Support groups

Our support groups are a vital component of our program. Topics discussed during our support groups include post-operative nutrition, exercise therapy, emotional support and adjustments. These support groups are provided for our patients' benefit. We also encourage patients who are about to undergo the Lap Band procedure to attend support groups.

Support groups are typically held the second monday of each month in our office at 7:00 P.M.

Some months there are additional support groups in other outlying areas, such as Magnolia, AR, and Broken Bow, OK. Call our office to check the support group schedule.
